Korea 2025

A couple of days after the Nepal trip, I went to Seoul, Korea, just to meet my friends!

I didn’t want to waste the Korea visa I got. And I’ve been meaning to see my friends for a few years now. Sometimes, I have this gut feeling about trips. And this was one of them. It’s been 10 years. And very few of my Korea friends even visited the Philippines in the years since the time I went back home. Considering how easier it is for them to visit my country, compared to me visiting theirs, the chance of seeing them is slim unless I make the move. So after contemplating, I decided to book a roundtrip ticket to Korea, and just found cheap accommodations.

With the bookings done, I texted friends who I could meet. And scheduled lunch and dinner, on the 2 days I’d be available. I had no other agenda. For the 2 days my schedule was: I had lunch with a friend, then go back to my accommodation and took a nap. I had to conserve energy and replenish dopamine. Then, I met friends for dinner.

I would love to meet more of them, but the schedule and locations did not match. Hopefully, I can see more of my Korea friends in the future, wherever that may be.

I could have booked later dates with cheaper flights. But, I just wanted to finish this trip within the first half of January, so that I can focus on being productive. And honestly, it was hard to get back to productivity after the Nepal and Korea trips. I was just on a high!
