So… this was kind of an unplanned trip for me earlier this year. I joined a trip to Melbourne, Australia and went around some places in Victoria. Then, we swung by the small Pacific island nation of Fiji, landing on Nadi, and touring the nearby areas. On the way back to Manila, Philippines, we stopped by Brisbane, Australia.

One thing I realized when I was sure to join, was that I have friends in Melbourne! So, I slipped in a dinner date with former process engineer colleagues. That was fun.

Two notable things about this Australia trip:

1. Melbourne is a vibe. I like how it’s bustling and relaxed at the same time.
2. I will never forget seeing the little penguins at Phillip Island! Adorable.

I just want to note that Fiji has this interesting culture, wherein both men and women can wear skirts. It’s even a formal wear for men. That’s pretty cool of them.
