TJE 69: Oh, to be Back in Korea: Winter in Jeju

It’s been 9 years since I left Korea for good, and almost 10 years since I visited the beautiful Island of Jeju. It was summer then, now I was able to experience it in winter.

It was time again for my company’s yearly trip, and Korea was the target. We wanted mainland Korea, however, all employees were denied of visas. Boo! Not to be deterred, we continued on, heading to the visa-free for Filipinos, Jeju instead. Seasonally, there are flights available from Taiwan to Jeju. So that’s the route we took.

We stayed overnight in Taiwan, and then spent 4 days in Jeju.

Now I’m sharing the recent photo dump in my Instagram account. Scroll down for travel ideas.

I just want to mention that a few from our group saw snow for the first time. So I’m happy for them to experience good quality snow when we visited Hallasan. We weren’t allowed to hike (lack of shoe chain/spikes). But the snow at the visitor center was already good. Though I was able to hike quickly a smaller mountain via Eoseungsaengak Trail (μ–΄μŠΉμƒμ•…).

Oh and writing this post, I remembered one more site to share! Haha, so this is a residual post:

Where did you go (or will you go) for the first travel this year? Cheers to another leap year! We have an extra day to savor.
